The CEO of Frank V farms, 49 years old Mr Frank Kwadwo Agyei from Nanketewa was on the 1st of December 2023 adjudged the Municipal best farmer at a durbar held at Antwikrom.For his price, he received a tricycle motor (moto king) wellington boot, machetes, bars of soap and a certificate.

Mr. Tijani Ahmed a farmer from Tanoso was the second runner up, while Mrs. Theresa Adu Boateng a retired Headmistress took the second runner position. A total of 12 farmers including two women received awards in various categories.

Mr. Ansu Kumi the Municipal Chief Executive for the Municipality in his address praised the gallant farmers for their contribution towards the strengthening of the economy of the country through agriculture.

Touching on this year’s theme: “Delivering Smart Solution for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”, he emphasized the government’s commitment to investing in agriculture to make it attractive to the youth for sustainability.

He urged farmers to take advantage of the various programs being roll out by the government to grow their farming business.

Mr Patrick Newman, Municipal Director of Agric encourage every farmer to collaborate with his department for improved agricultural practices. He cautioned farmers against the misuse of Agro chemicals to safeguard their health as well as that of the consumers of their products.

The municipal fire commander DOII Daniel Agyemang Duah used the occasion to inaugurate a fire volunteer squard and announce the ban of sending fire to the bush.
