Pursuant to the mandate of the Local Government Service Secretariat to improve delivery of service through the appointment, development and promotion of adequate numbers of competent staff in their right mix to fill vacancies at the national, regional and district levels. With the arrival of these new staff there has been the need to equip them with the needed protocols of the Service to position them carry themselves professionally in tandem with the lay down conventions of the Service. Specifically, Conditions of Service of the Local Government Service requires that all New Recruits are taken through an Orientation session to equip them appropriately with the set of protocols needed to perform in consonance with the Service Delivery Standards of the Service. The Ghana Enterprises Agency/ Business advisory Centre (GEA/BAC) in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, held a training program for forty (40) participants of the Nkosuo loan Association members from 30th to 31st January, 2023. The program was designed to improve the financial literacy and small business management skills of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as part of the COVID-19 Recovery and Resilience Program. The main objective of the program was to help Nkosuo loan members develop a better understanding of financial management and improve their small business management skills.
